JERK

Is another dance craze what we need in the music industry right now???

I thought people had enough for a lifetime after "crankin that Soulja boy" for over a year.

Leave it to CALI kids to come up with something even more bizarre. First, the STOMP era which they over dramatized and now this. Mimicking a dance crazy on a basis to set your career isn’t financially smart to be quit honest. Fads go in and out especially things of this nature. Once again, Fashion is playing a bigger role in music rather than actual lyrics and concepts. The longevity of such crazes isn’t prolonged more than one album simply because they have nothing else to talk about. Records such as these don’t sell albums; they sell singles and the ever popular ring tones these days. I guess this craze is cool for now but seems a bit awkward if someone over the age of 18 does this. The demise inedibley of “jerkin” will be the age factor. The kids who are doing it will soon grow out of it themselves.

  1. Though not conducive to the betterment of their overall career, it is lucrative to start a dance craze that will get them an initial buzz. Financially speaking, no one is really buying albums anymore with the downloading frenzy that is taking place, so the real audience is the kids that buy ring tones.I don't think these guys will be around for long, but I can't knock their hustle. They're getting their money off this track alone. You spit the truth though homie. If you're over 18, you can't jerk at all. They don't even play it in the clubs in ATL.
